Did you know today is "I love yarn day" ?

I celebrate this day with knitting of course.
Just got new fabulous snow white chunky yarn yesterday and spent half a night knitting.
I show you little sneak peak of my new project.

Sain eile sõbrannalt infot soodsalt müügilolevast lõngast ja loomulikult ei andnud mu lõngasõltuvus rahu, ning vurasin maha yle 60 km, et koju tuua peaaegu poolteist kilo imepehmet lõnga.
Kui vardad olid juba töösse lastud, siis sain nad hädavaevu pidama umbes kella 2 ajal öösel, et ikka natuke iluund ka magada.
Hommikul loomulikult oli esimene asi asi haarata kudumine jälle pihku.
Ma olen tõeline kuduhoolik.
Ei häbene. ;)

Ja tegelt on täna ameeriklastel "Ma armastan lõnga" päev.

Lõngahoolik nagu ma olen, ei suutnud ma seekordki foorumis kellegipoolt veerema lastud palli eest ära hüpata.
Loomulikult on vaja ju vaadata igat uut lõngapoe linki, ja kui su silme ette jääb midagi merinot ja veel Royal blue´d, siis on korras.

Silmad krillis nagu Disney kassil, oli peaaegu kahe päeva jooksul lõngapoe Alevig.eu jumalik lõng mu laual ja kuigi ma ostsin selle silmas pidades hoopis suuremat ja pehmemat projekti, läksin jällegi oma foorumi reklaami ohvriks.
Nimelt, nagu te enamus juba teate, näidatakse me Kuduhullumaja õlasallide teemas linke järjest ilusamatele projektidele.

Minul ei ole õlasalli vaja.
No mul lihtsalt pole seda kuskil kanda ja pealegi puudub mul kolmas käsi selle paigal hoidmiseks.
Yeah. Aga....
Ikka ju vaja vaadata neid linke... ja nii hakkaski 1 mulle liiga palju meeldima ning kui veel taevalikult sinine lõng mu laual karbist välja koorus, ei kuulanud mu käed enam mõistuse häält ning juba hetk hiljem olid silmused loodud.
Millegi taevaliku kudumiseks....

Yesterday when I was uploading new pattern translations to Drops Design Estonian page, I suddenly discovered lovely hat pattern.
I could not get it out of my head, and since I had few balls of Garnstudio Drops Muskat Soft, work started!
Unfortunatly, when half a hat was done, my beautiful KnitPro crochet hook broke.
So I had to finsh it with 3 mm crochet hook.
I followed DROPS number 107-37 size M and it fits perfectly my little boys 51 cm head.
My crochet tension is 18 dc for 10 cm.

Eile mustreid Dropsi lehele yleslaadides, tuli mustriotsingus väike näpukas ja äkitselt avanes hoopis kena mytsi juhend.
Müts hakkas mulle nii meeldima, et hetk hiljem oli lõngakorvist juba paar tokki Garnstudio Muskat Softi välja pugenud koos uhiuue KnitPro heegelnõelaga ja mustri ülespanek jäi sinnapaika.

Kui tunnike hiljem oli pool mütsi juba valmis saanud, murdus äkki ilus värviline heegelnõel.
Jeah, edevus ei tasu ära.
Ostke aga rahulikult tavalisi halle metallheegelnõelu ja teie töö saab vähemalt kindlapeale tehtud.
Kuna kuduhooliku hing on visa ja pooleli ka ei saanud ju jätta, siis pühkisin tolmu oma vanalt hallilt heegelnõelalt ja töö jätkus. Küll 3 mm heegelnõelaga seekord.
Müts sai valmis. Nupuke-nööbike pealael vajas nats muutmist, aga muidu kõik puha juhendi järgi. Suurus M ja sobib mu poja 51 cm ümbermõõduga peale nagu valatult.

NB! Kelmscott'il on veel seljaosa ja 1 varrukas teha.

Kelmscott by Carol Sunday

This beautiful cardigan caught my eye and didn't let go.
It's soooo feminine and lacy and gorgeous... I have to have it.
As I need summer cardy, the yarn choice is DROPS Muskat (100 % cotton with beautiful silky shine).
To add a little bit luxury I decided to engage Muskat with Kid Mohair and the result is fabulous.
Here is my "swatch". (Second attempt.)

As Muskat is chunkier than original yarn used in pattern, I have to make size smaller.)
I can't wait til its finished.

Alustasime foorumis uut kampsuni kooskudumist.
Ilusate mustrite otsingul sai leitud imeilus Kelmscott by Carol Sunday .

See on just minu maitse. Midagi üdini naiselikku ja pitsilist ja õrna.
Kuna mul on vaja just suvekampsu, siis sai lõngavalikuks DROPS Muskat Lõngamaaniast (100% puuvillane, ilusa siidise läikega). Aga et lisada seda erilisust, panin lisaks Kid Mohääri.
Nende lõngade koostöö annab just sellise tulemuse nagu vaja.

Üleval on näha mu "tööproov", parema esitüki algus.
See on juba teine katse, sest kuna Muskat on jämedam, kui originaallõng mustris, siis pean kuduma väiksema suuruse.
Ma ei jõua kampsuni valmimist ära ootata.
Oleks seda aega ainult rohkem....

I fell in love with one beautifully red neck warmer on DROPS Design website, but since we usually don't have winter here, grabbed opportunity to make it as Christmas present.

I had to calm it down a bit, because everybody might not love to wear red, and had to re-design lower edge, because it held up not nicely.
I made up pattern in red as well, since I had to fit certain number of stitches.
Here we go

But this year (last now) was unusual. We had even 10 cm snow.
And in Christmas spirit I made little scarf for my little girl and called it "Marshmallow candy cane".

Many summers I have been dreaming about beautiful lace summer top .

And now felt like making one.

For thread bought thinnest yarn available in our local yarnshop.
It's Wendy Supreme Cotton 4 ply.

Pattern is mix of two . 1 & 2
Also had to make upperpart bigger to hide everything what must not be seen!

It was really easy to make and now feel like doing some more crochet , maybe for my little girl.

Kuna ilmad olid niiiiiii palavaks läinud ,oli ju minulgi vaja endale heegeldada imeilus valge pits top.

Kaevasin end rõõmsalt Rohelise (IT kuldne liige) neti varamusse ja sealt ta leidsingi.

Muster on kombineeritud kahest kokku st. yhest ylaosa ,mida muutsin suuremaks vastavalt oma rinnapartiile ja alumine osa teisest mustrist.
Tegelt tahtsin veel rohkem miksida ,aga unustasin töö käigus .

Meie lõnga poe kõige peenemaks osutus Wendy Supreme Cotton ,võinuks olla peenem ,aga ajas asja ära.

Valmis sai yllatavalt ruttu.u nädalaga (v6i oli see 2) ja nyyd hoog sees et teeks veel midagi...

It's 100% natural bamboo .

One night I was surfing in the www and saw beautiful quilted cushion.
It was not ordinary. It was made of small pictures.
.................
Do you feel it already? How your brain is starting to move?
Think,think,think...

How it's made?
The photos are printed to fabric.
But how ?

So I found out about printable cotton sheets.
Well, had to buy mine from Australia...
But the result is worth every penny!

My next problem was how to cut pictures into small pieces?
It's easypeasy to make squares ,but if you know how to cut triangles, let me know! Please! :)
I mean with Picture editing program , not by hand. ;)

There came Picasa to help me to make photo collage .
Then just little pit printing and sewing and
Voila!

Now I have to make two more for my granny and mum...It makes memorable present! ;)

I have been to busy lately

but would like to present you my latest biggest project:

birth weight 3,9kg and 54cm.

It took only 2 hours "real" pains and Voila! here he is, one hour old on the picture!

He doesn't give me much "me" time but allready found minute to start tiny cardigan for him. ;D

My first "bigger" project this year !

After long searching in Internet I came up with my own design for baby blanket!

The plan was to make 5 by 7 squares (50cm X 70 cm) to use it as throw over in buggy but somehow I managed to make it 4 by 5 squares .

Well maybe one day I have to rip edging from one side (top or bottom) and add few square rows.

It looks "right side" from both sides, includes only knit and purl stitches, very simple .

Yarn used : Debbie Bliss cashmerino dk, a bit more than 3 balls for this tiny blanky.

Needles 3mm(I knit loosely).

Handcraft people have crazy ideas!

If your children have some dried out felt tip pens (markers) there is great way to recycle them before throwing them out!

Would you like to have yarn like this?

It's easy!

Break the markers open and put the color filled piece into the jar big enough for yarn as well.
Soak them in the water till all color came out!
Look the pictures in kriuks2 blog.
Insert yarn (natural not acrylics).
Put the jars into big casserole pot filled with water.
Simmer about 1hr. Add vinegar (1tablespoon per jar)simmer 1/2h more.
Let it cool down. Rinse.

I have not tried it myself but others have done great job with it!

It's a similar to dyeing with Kool-Aid .

You'll need the following: a cup of water, a cup of sugar, four large eggs, two cups of dried fruit, a teaspoon of baking soda, a teaspoon of salt, a cup of brown sugar, lemon juice, nuts, and a bottle of whisky.

Sample the whisky to check for quality.

Take a large bowl. Check the whisky again. To be sure it is the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink. Repeat.

Turn on the electric mixer, beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add one teaspoon of sugar and beat again. Make sure the whisky is still okay. Cry another tup. Turn off the mixer. Break two leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit.

Mix on the turner. If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers pry it loose with a drewscriver. Sample the whisky to check for tonsisticity.

Next, sift two cups of salt. Or something. Who cares? Check the whisky.

Now sift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Spoon. Of sugar or something. Whatever you can find.

Grease the oven. Turn the cake tin 350 degrees.

Don't forget to beat off the turner.

Throw the bowl out of the window, check the whisky again and go to bed.

There are 40 squares. Used 2skeins black and 1 white mercerised cotton yarn"Wendy supreme DK", hook 3mm.

For handles cotton string over crocheted with sc-s.

I had opportunity to present my Silver Belle and Flower scarf on Extravaganza Fashion Show in Kenmare! That was fun !!!!

It's Nicky Epstein's design from Vogue Knitting 25anniversary magazine.

I used 100% shiny hand dyed silk.

needles 3mm.

Added Kid mohair for some flowers to get different color and texture.

There are 18 flowers in my scarf.

To keep scarf still I pushed one flower's middle petals through other end's small hole.

( like button through button hole;) )

Few days ago I read from projektleiterin blog how she got overhelmed and bought multicolored yarn.
I went to yarn shop yesterday to get the smallest knitting needles available for my friend and OF COURSE had to buy multicolored sock yarn. The colors are soo.... bright and happy!

Didn't like sock knitting before but seems I have to change my mind ....
Started to knit same evening and finished next morning!
Voila! My little girl is very happy to have warm bright socks!

It's finally finished!

There are no buttons jet and it feels a bit small.(or maybe my breast is bit too big;) (I didn't know that before;) ) )
Anyway when I saw pictures of finished 'Silver Belles' I noticed that neck hole is toooooo big.
So decided to knit cable edging to keep neckline from stretching to much.

There is also back view ...

I actually wanted to make collar as well but.....Just bit lazy...;)

Did I say before that I did bind off 10 stitches for front neck not 15st like it is in pattern ?
And yes I have three button holes!

And never said I left out 2diamond shaped cable panels on peplum!

And there is new project waiting to become alive...

I always hated woolly socks.

You know these home made dark white or gray , made with non-soft wool. These are soooooooo itchy and scratchy.

If you are used to lovely soft yarns(merino) they sell nowadays you have no idea what I am talking about.

Anyway the weather is getting colder and when I saw this picture...

Changes to Silver Belle.

I read Estonian craft forum today where women discussing over back cables of the Silver belle.
'Kiusupunn' said she will leave out the back cables in next cardy because they don't hold well.

So I did a little trial :

Couldn't keep myself ;) and made a little tutorial as well : Three needle bind off.

But I didn't like the look of the seam either so riped it open again and will go for back cables.

And one other thing as well:

first time I saw the picture of Silver Belle the edges of sleeves looked so unfinished .
Already then had idea to add cable.
Here it is :
I casted on 7 stitches (1extra for sewing),knitted long cable and sewed it to sleeve.

I have many times searched for some tutorial from Internet and know how great is to find what you looking for.
So decided to share what I know...
How to knit cable without a cable needle(4-st RC):

If you want to make a cable that twists to the right:

1.Insert right needle from the front through 3rd and 4th stitch on left needle, slip the left needle out releasing 4 cable stitches.

2.Fast pick-up two loose stitches with left needle on the back.

3.Slip the two stitches from right needle back to the left needle by crossing stitches .

4.Knit as directed.
How to do knitted cast on .

When you get to the point to cast on for front and back, using same yarn as you used for sleeve just do knitted cast on as follows:

*Knit 1, leaving stitch on left needle. Transfer new stitch onto left needle by slipping it knit-wise. Repeat from *

Knitted cast-on leaves the side seems very stretchy and you don't have to bother casting-on separately and then connecting them to the main piece and hiding ends...;)

Great news is the Belle cardigan will be right size, not soooooooo big as I was afraid.
I am knitting size small (because I'm terrible cook and don't eat much ;) )

Finished right sleeve yesterday and had to sew it together immediately to see how it holds.

I'm happy!!!

Sleeve isn't to wide,there are no ugly folds in underarm and looks absolutely great from waist.
I did make some changes (like always ;) ):
for the sleeve increased 1 st each side every 16th row (not 8th) 5 times and then every 8th row until sleeve measured long enough to cast on stitches for front and back.
I added extra stitches for sides to get 120stitches altogether as asked.
Also for neck shaping I did bind off only 10 stitches not 15. Continued with pattern.

My mum give me advice not to increase so much on sides so added stitches every 16th row not 8th row.

Now will increase more and also have to cast on more stitches for front and back.

Will leave the peplum last ,then will see how many stitches I need for it!

Because I have been asked to lead little KAL in estonian handcraft forum I started knitting silver belle cardigan.

Found some yarn from my yarncase,knitted swatch with 5mm needles but wasn't even near asked gauge. then tried with 4mm and 3.5mm needles and got almost what needed.

But the little yarn addict in me forced me to go and buy lovely Debbie Bliss cashmerino yarn.... beautiful......soft ....luxurious...

So started all over again and now the gauge is perfect with 4mm knitting needles.

Like you see the color isn't right either pictures...

Crochet Irish lace bag.

I'm still in crocheting mood.

This time made simple and fancy mobile phone bag!

Fancy enough to go with evening dress or even for bride...;)

Used mercerised cotton ,crochet hook 2,5mm( I could not find my 3mm hook;) ),pattern from deep bottom of Internet ( just ask if you are interested).

Hopefully will make one more ,black this time and with longer cord to wear as neck bag.

When I first time saw this pattern it give me idea to make phone cover:

I found amazing craft today, it's called sun printing!
Just look yourself: Susa's blog
You have to have 'Setacolor Soleil' paint's ,fabric should be light natural fibre .Then lay feathers, lace, netting, leaves, precut cardboard, flowers or anything on the fabric and let the sun do the rest. The objects you put on the fabric will leave their impressions!
I really would like try it,but it's raining here every day! :(
Once thought about painting silk fabric to sew a dress for myself but this sun printing is much more easier( for somebody who can't draw ;))

You must make piece of blue jewelry using crochet ,macrame or knitting.

First thought was " I don't have anything blue to use"but after looking over my treasures found some blue cotton thread and some blue beads. It took only few hours !

I wanted to have blue necklace long time. Now I have it finally! ;)

Once upon a time there was a lonely old office chair waiting for last drive to dump. He stayed in back garden,heavy rain poured over his sad face.

But one day came the lady of the house full of energy and said to him:" Don't worry darling! I think you might become useful! You have really beautiful legs, we still can use them!" ;)

And she brought piece of plywood, forced her hubby to cut out nice round and screwed the legs to the wood!

Voila! there also was some little painting work ,few coats of varnish and new shiny garden table was born!

Here is my this evening's work: crocheted cloves edging for white linen handkerchief.

crochet hook is soooooooooooooooooo tiny ,you almost can't see it.

It's 0.6 mm. Smallest available I think!

Thread is mercerised cotton 60.

I do this kind of work sometimes ,but could not make bedspread with sooooooooooooooooo tiny thread...

Absolutely honour old lace makers who did really great work with even finer thread!

I have not been lazy lately ,have done some very fine crochet (will post photos soon).

Have done some 'frogging' with my lace shawl design( where this name come from?).

Few days ago I wanted to show you my first design: knitted lace shawl.

It's only half done and I'm working on the edging.

But then read from somewhere "don't show your work before it's ready to publish" so have to finish design soon. Not sure how to do PDF document or write knitting charts on computer......

When I first saw this pattern it was made as doily( table centerpiece).
Almost year later found it in Muhv's blog . She got tutorial from Estonian lace making course where she learned to knit world famous "Haapsalu sall" (click on pics to see bigger, also there is few words in English in bottom of page) .
The "nupp"(knit 5 from 1stitch,purl 5tog at next WS row) is also originally from Estonia as well.( I hope you knew that! ;))

This beautiful lace shawl is knitted from Estonian lace pattern with cobweb weight mohair yarn and 3.4mm knitting needles.

Crisis is over! Yesssss!!! ;)
By the end of last post I already had idea how must look my new cape!
Same evening designed pattern what has same shape as 'faroese shawl' but there are mixed three different leaf patterns. Now I have new problem ,have to buy luxurious yarn for it.
In local yarn shop caught my eye Louisa Harding's 'Grace' 50/50% wool(merino)/silk mix .....precious!(but pricey :( ). Have to go fishing to eBay! ;)
Afraid this project will be delayed until autumn because....

I was asked to knit lace shawl (for sale) decided to design new one .This time mixing four different patterns. Pattern will be available for public when knitted through.

But like always can't be patient and crocheted some flower pins this evening (for sale):

I am in deeeeeeep knitting crisis...:( (HELP ME,please!)
Want to knit lacy cape like thing or stole,can't figure out what it must be. Went through goldmines like adriafil.com , knittingpatterncentral.com , straw.com and some more.
Want something to throw over and it must be elegant, lacy, similar to faroese shawl .
But it must be closable at front.... maybe buttons....;>
It will be real challange for me! ;)

Hope you all enjoy summer season,holidays,lovely weather ,swimming......all I miss so much. We don't even have much sunshine around here in Ireland.

But rainy days are very good for knitting projects! ;)
Today I show you one of my UFOs: pinwheel cardy for my little girl Iris.
This blue cardy is in my to-do list : DROPS Cardigan in “art knitting”

And then I found other one from elann.com: PINWHEEL SWEATERS FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN

I decided to mix these two and used non-expensive acrylic DK yarn.

The body is almost finished,have to re-think about edging and sleeves must be done(any time soon ;) ).
I like how it came out.
For sleeves will use lacy pattern as shown at bottom triangle.

Hopefully will find time to knit one for myself as well....one day...

Finally I have finished the lacy blouse from Vogue Knitting spring/summer 2007 magazine.

It was serious marathon for me, not because it was difficult to do, no way, it was really easy to knit. Pattern is easy to remember and small (OK medium size;) )pieces get finished fast ( if you have time of course;) )
I never before FINISHED so big project so fast .It took about 2weeks only. 2-4 hours every evening( few days-evenings off as well).
Used 7 skeins of Sirdar 'SilkyLook' double knitting yarn.Needles 3.5mm. And loads of patience.

I might get used to make big things !

Now I'm thinking should I make mini lace
blouse for my little girl as well?

Yeah,it could be lovely but new exciting projects coming and ....maybe some other time ;> )

Thank you Anneli for pushing me to show you picture where I wear my almost finished lace blouse:

It has been so far few days already but didn't get time to get pic. Now it's done finally! (pic not a blouse ;) )

I am not happy with underarms(like you can see). My shoulders are low and usually have to add some padding under shoulder seems for ready made clothes as well. But hopefully the weight of lower part will stretch it out.

The acorn edging for bottom of lower part is made just have to pick up stitches across edge of middle insert and have a go...Sounds easy but takes time again....

I didn't knit sleeves as long as pattern said, also made neck hole smaller by knitting sides bit wider(less stitches for neck hole). It looks better for me this way!

OK,have to get it finished fast (to get started with next piece....hopelessly hooked by knitting as I am ;) )

It's so warm in Ireland this week !
Found time to lay down and get some UV rays . I call sunbathing more like 'baking in your own juice'. Some people do not like it ,I enjoy the energy that I get from sun!

About knitting:
Sleeves of lacy blouse are finished ,just need to iron them and connect with bodice. Hope get it done this evening and take some pics as well!

Really like edging lace for sleeves,its done all in one piece ,even it looks like made separately.

Now have to pick up stitches along top of edging(bottom on this pic) and knit lower part of sleeve.

I always had trouble finishing big projects like knitting a cardigan or similar thing.
There are quite few UFOs (unfinished objects ;) )in my craft corner like pinwheel cardy for my little girl waiting for sleeves; almost finished cardy for her without zipper (color of yarn wasn't right,its too blue and I don't like it(when ordered it over Internet picture showed purple) ) and so on...
But yesterday found I have to keep knitting because there have been so many visitors here and you all coming to see some beautiful pictures and great patterns . Aren't you?
So must finish the piece I'm on.
The front and back are finished,shoulder seems crafted together. Also sideseems and when tried it on it looked really nice .
When upper part of sleeves are done and sewed to body , will make picture for you.

Would like to show you the biggest cone of yarn I ever had:

It is 50% mohair cobweb weight for lace knitting. Bought it over eBay (like most of my yarns ;) ). Could you leave it there with starting bid 0.99 pennies(UK). NEVER!

There is 1.1 KILO 8) ,around 8 km yarn ! WOW !

I am over the moon (so little is needed for happiness).

First thought was : have to knit lace shawls rest of my life...

Still happy,looking around for lace patterns...

Have finished back for this beautiful white lace blouse and front piece is almost finished as well.

At some point found the back is too wide. Started to panic it will come tooo big. Then next morning mesured again and it's not soo bad.

will knit lower part at very last ,than can try it on and see how long to make.

Newby in my dream list.

I fell in love with beautiful knitted lace dress from Vogue Knitting Spring/Summer 2007.

Dreaming about making it as blouse,without lowest skirt part.

I'm a bit worried about very open neckline,maybe it will fall over shoulders,hopefully not.

Today even got yarn for it: Sirdar's 'Silky look' double knit,it's acrylic but will last longer than cotton. Telling the truth it was nicest yarn in local small yarn shop which is suitable for this lovely dress.

Usually I don't have enough patient to make so big projects but this is too beautiful to skip.

Swallowtail Shawl

It's time for handcrafts again!

Finished my third Swallowtail Shawl. Yarn used is Rowans kidsilk haze: 70%Super kid mohair30%silk; 25gr 210m, 2 skeins, needles 3.5mm.

I knit very loosely so it looks more like used 5mm needles. many people have trouble making nupps, specially knit 5tog,yeah if you knit tight it's almost impossible to do but no problem for me ;).

The first and third shawl look identical, for second one I bought yarn from Peru .

This pattern is amazingly easy going. You just sit down and start knitting and it seems the needles run by themselfs. You just have to stop them for a moment when pattern changes...;)

My much beloved little Darling is gone...
We left him outside to enjoy fresh air and freedom and he flew away never came back.
Maybe he went looking for other birds, maybe he got lost ,maybe cats ....
It happened few days ago, I still feel sad...

I don't have much luck with pets, that's why I don't take dog,but couldn't resist to have cat(black-I really love him!)...
Will make big photograph of birdy to remember him always...

10 days old.

It's been long time since last post, 10 days( I have to earn some income as well ;) and night comes faster than I expect)).
But my little Darling doesn't care about time and grows fast. There are no baby hair left, all new beautiful shiny feathers all over little body.

I'm taking him out every day to get used to wind and rain and listening some birds singing nearby. One day he flew to neighbours wall...ohhhh.. my heart fell, I was ready to cry... my baby....Took a ladder run after him and same time thought what will people think if they see it 8)
Then thought will keep him in room in his cage until he is big enough to find food in case he will fly away .

But I don't want to be kept in prison so let him go again.

Next stop: look at photo! ;)

There are no problems catching him, that's easy part.
Today( yesterday already) I saw young birds flaying on the field and run home to release my Darling as well. he should keep-up with others same age. He flew to roof and I was ready for worst but after 5min waiting he came back to me. Yesssssssssssssssss! What a relief!

Also showed him his future living place-garden shed-where he should stay rest of his life( in case he will not flay away and we don't move house).

My Darling even fall a short sleep in there:
Now every morning after breakfast( just 2-3 pieces of food) I take him out with cage onto grass so he can look around but no flaying away without me .

Hi!
I have been busy working and feeding and feeding and cleaning and finally found some time for update.
My little Darling is doing very well,eats as horse ;) He is starling,not blackbird!
Every morning about 6.30 is wake-up cry(or shout),loud enough to wake everybody (except my hubby :) ) ,but after 5mins his fully feed and we all can go back to sleeeeeeeeeeeep.
yeah,about 8 o'clock I'm forced to go and start all over again and again....
It's really amazing how fast the feathers grow. Few days ago he was so naked and today he is covered with small feathers. You can almost see how they growing.
And he likes to hide in my palm(peopesas),it all soooooooo cute!
Visited pet shop today to see how expensive are birdcages and got one free. yesssssssss!!! OK, I just borrowed old used one for some time,my hubby has to build bigger later.
And I have to say sorry for these who looking for handcrafts from here. just no time at the moment.

I found great website about how to take care of baby Starling so I am saved for this time.
Do you know that dog food is best food for baby bird?Could you believe this! Because there are a lot of protein and vitamins...And I have to feed him every after 30minutes.
Woke up at 6 o'clock this morning to feed baby( he eats well) and my hubby said that my motherly feelings rising again! Hahaa! Pure truth actually. ;)

Blackbird's baby

Today happened something incredible !

I have a baby in my house again.This time "It's a bird" !

There was a hole in my roof and yesterday builders fixed it. Today I heard a bird cry.Went to the attic and cut out two little birds who were stuck between roof tiles and cover material. One birdy was dead,another very hungry.

Oo my God! What should I do? Jumped into car and went to pet shop.They looked at him as alien.At least got some worms for feeding! Then went to Vet , they didn't even know that blackbirds like to nest in birdhouses, They said blackbirds have nests ONLY in trees and bushes and there is nothing I can do for him. What kind of help can you get from there...

So, bought birdhouse from garden centre,made hole bigger and it found place near roof.

But........

The parents didn't come back for a baby.....Oo no, ooooo noooooo....

Now I have to feed him. He recognizes my voice already! It's amazing experience....
